Show Your Support

Want to join our efforts but not sure where to start? We'd love to have you on our team! Volunteering your time is an incredible opportunity to lend your support. You don't need horse experience to volunteer.  We provide training and have many volunteer jobs that may fit your expertise.

It’s a great way to contribute to our cause. Our mission is to mitigate Adverse Childhood Experiences and change those experiences into positive ones. We are paving the path for a better tomorrow for our community youth.  If you would like to help, please contact Karin Wetzel at 317-209-1168.  Get your application packet by downloading.

Volunteer Testimony

Judy F., 2021

I have witnessed more progress with the Standing Tall students in six-weeks than a year of talk therapy as a drug abuse counselor.

I have been a volunteer with the Standing Tall Life Skills program at Wildwood Stables since its inception in 2018. During this time, I have seen many children, both boys and girls of various ages go through this program. Each child has come with a distinct personality, talent, and need. I’ve seen timid, assertive, frightened and brave children. I’ve seen some children grow and blossom in almost every area, and I’ve seen some more hesitant and a little slower to get involved. I have yet to see one child, however, who has not benefited from this program. To hear the laughter and see the smiling face of a child when he trots on a horse for the first time is a moment to remember!  It has been a joy for me to be a part of the Standing Tall Program and to work alongside Michelle Cannon and so many dedicated volunteers.

Help Us Soar

This is one of the simplest ways to help out our cause. We believe the best way for our initiatives to be successful is for the community to actively get involved. We need corporate sponsors, mentors, and a network of like minded outreach groups to support our program initiatives.  This program is 100% free and staffed by all volunteers!

Please get in touch with any questions about how you can partner with us today. We are proud partners with Upper Cumberland United Fund, The Avalon Center, and Sarah Myers Ministries.

we are working with the Fairfield Rotary Club to bring Adverse Childhood Experiences and Trauma-Informed Care Awareness to Cumberland County.

We want to thank all of the following Volunteers. Without you, our program would not be possible!
